Dharma Prasad, with a keen interest in developing new business, moved to India recently to head the Indian subsidiary of Prosetta Bioconformatics Inc.. Before taking up this challenging position, he was working as senior scientist at the parent company located in San Francisco, USA, remotely managing the Indian company's activities in addition to performing research activities in drug discovery, molecular neurology and host factor identification. He joined Prosetta after his post-doctoral research at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, for more than three years. Dr. Prasad obtained his Bachelors and Masters in Biochemistry from Mysore University with high distinction.
He happens to be the first PhD graduate to come out of India's premier research institute, Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad, with the degree awarded from University of Hyderabad.
